MDA "Fill the Boot"

Every year since 1954, Firefighters have held the annual “Fill the boot” drive on Labor Day weekend, to collect for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The money we raise will help children and adults in our community, and will also help support innovative research to change the future for people with neuromuscular disease. If you are able to help please click on the Link Below and help us “Fill the boot”!

Union lawyer asked Cuyahoga County prosecutor this month to pursue theft-in-office charge against chief.

“We believe he knew he was prohibited from having overtime,” Diemert told 3News. “And he instructed people to put it in and he followed up on having it put in and he ended up getting paid over $3,000 in overtime, which is expressly prohibited by law. It’s considered theft in office.”

“The civil service commission failed to perform its duty,” McGinty wrote. “Cleveland Civil Service Commission has a duty to comply with and enforce the civil service rules. The commission is under a clear legal duty to investigate the political activity charge and conduct a hearing to determine whether Chief Angelo Calvillo engaged in illegal political activity.”

Two Local Heroes Emerge After a Fire on Fleming Road

Two heroes emerge after a fire happened on Fleming Road. One is Captain Tom Lally who saved the 2-year-old girl & the security guard who caught the 8-year-old girl that jumped from the building.

Child meets Cleveland firefighters who rescued her from burning apartment

On Jan. 26, Cleveland firefighters responded to a call of a fire in an apartment. Inside was a 2-year-old girl. The firefighters from Station 7 successfully removed her from the burning apartment, saving her life.
